A little more than two weeks after a massive fire tore through the R&C in Dubai, the holiday will return to the UAE.
That’s because the R.C. has signed a new contract with Marriott International.
The deal will run through Dec. 31.
The Marriott-owned hotel chain says it is bringing back some of its holiday celebrations this year, including the Rittenhouse Square.
The holiday will be held on Jan. 4, 2018.
“I am proud to announce that we will bring back our holiday experience in the UAE with Rittenhouses Holiday Market in Dubai,” said Rob Felski, chief executive officer of Marriott International, in a statement.
The Ritz also announced a partnership with Luxury Brands to promote its hotel chain.
“The Ritz family of brands and brands from the ROC have agreed to collaborate to promote our hotels across all countries across the world,” Felsky said.
“In addition to the Rohnert Park Hotel in New York City, the RIC will work with the Roc hotels, the largest luxury hotel chain in the world, and its partner Luxury Beverage to bring Rittenshops Holiday Market to more than 400 countries and territories throughout the world.”
Marriott is the biggest hotel chain operating in the Middle East, Africa and Europe, but it is also a major employer in the U.S. The chain also owns the Rickenbacker Hotel in Dubai and has been a major investor in hotels in the West.
The hotel chain has already begun marketing Ritten shops and other holiday experiences in the Gulf countries.
The new R&am is expected to attract a million guests during its two-week holiday, which is expected have a total of $10 billion in revenue.
