Uber has announced it is bringing vacation pricing to Expedia in Puerto Rico, joining its existing partnership with the travel agency.
The new deal will cost $40 per night in Puerto Rican hotels and airfare.
Uber has already expanded its offerings in the US and in Puerto Rica with its $1,500-per-night flights from San Juan to San Antonio and $3,000-per person car rental.
Expedia, meanwhile, has been expanding its offering in the Caribbean and Latin America.
It has recently introduced a $15-per, one-night trip for those in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
The $40-per night is on top of the $40 that Expedia already offers to travelers.
“We are excited to offer this price point to travelers and families in Puerto Ricans resort communities,” said Ryan Ellis, senior vice president of global product at Expedia.
“It is an important part of Expedia’s efforts to build a sustainable business model and expand the reach of its platform and service to meet the needs of our communities.”
Uber said it will be adding the new pricing to its travel product next week.
The company will also be launching a new feature to help customers shop for travel deals from Expedia and other travel agencies.
Expansys said it was the first of its kind to offer such a pricing option in Puerto.
